Jonathan Hardy is a dedicated and resourceful project engineer who thrives in fast-paced construction environments. Known for his curiosity and analytical mindset, he takes a hands-on approach to problem-solving, ensuring projects stay on track and challenges are addressed proactively. His background in architectural drafting, BIM, 3D modeling, and land surveying gives him a unique ability to bridge the gap between design and construction, allowing him to anticipate potential issues before they arise. Whether he’s collaborating with superintendents, coordinating with subcontractors, or walking the site to track progress, Jonathan remains focused on efficiency, quality, and keeping operations running smoothly. His strong communication skills and adaptability make him a valuable team player who actively seeks solutions and finds ways to improve workflows and project execution.
Jonathan has contributed to several high-impact projects, including the CTA Red Line Extension and the reconstruction of multiple Metra Electric District stations. Currently, he is working on United Yards Phase 1B and assisting with pre-construction planning for the National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture. With a passion for community-focused developments, he enjoys working on building projects that leave a lasting impact. His technical expertise and hands-on approach make him an integral part of the Blackwood Group team, ensuring that every project he works on is executed with precision and purpose.
What are your hobbies?
Currently, I’m learning to write code in computer programming languages such as JavaScript and C++. I started learning how to do this because, as a kid, I was always interested in computer science, game development, and robotics.
